Hello
Having run the latest "Jessie" dcore and booted it to the prompt...... the instructions below then told me how to get a "gui desktop" installed into dcore...
http://tinycorelinux.net/dCore/x86/README/README-X-Desktop.txt
Having followed these instructions (Above) the computer seems to hang on gathering "xorg-all" dependancies.?
is there any way around it
thanks
Vince.

import and install grep first as gnu grep is much faster than busybox grep as it is used in the dependency gathering. With busybox grep importing xorg-all will possibly take minutes to finish just gathering deps.

Right Jason thanks...
5 minutes didn't seem enough........so have followed your grep idea

Did that
sce-import -b grep
afterwards things still seem to be similar.....after lots of downloading
for "xfce4" it then got stuck at some deps asking me to confirm from a list
of 20 several times....(jessie)
hmmm

Ok, that should not be happening as the Packages lists are updated several times a day on our server. What you see is when a particular .deb file that is needed is not available on the Debian server yet there is network connectivity.
Try first these commands before importing again:
sudo rm /etc/sysconfig/tcedir/debian_jessie_main*
sudo rm /etc/sysconfig/tcedir/debian_jessie_security*

Also are you using a mirror for tinycorelinux.net? If so, then the mirror might not be keeping up to date with our server which would explain it.

OK will try that....
thanks Jason
