I have installed hwinfo.tce, but I can't find any selection for it in any menu.
Likewise I haven't a clue as to what files, if any can be run from a Terminal
window to access the information added by this extension. No documentation
can be located for it in the APPS -> INFO window, other than some URL's.
What have I added to my system, and how do I access it?
Thanks.

http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/tinycorelinux/tce/hwinfo.tce.info says:
Comments: This extensions contains various utils
for dumping hardware info[...] You can use iasl, the Intel ACPI compiler, to check
if your ACPI bios is faulty (and fix it). Docs on this
in /opt.
i used sudo su then ran get-edid and biosdecode. perhaps as i'm in qemu it didn't tell me much, but if you haven't used it before, try running dmesg, which is a feature of busybox, and cat /proc/cpuinfo

If you're looking for an easy GUI to check some hardware info, the "System stats" in the control panel should be helpful.
