Title: Microcore64 -> VirtualBox
Post by: manchuwook on May 16, 2011, 09:58:25 AM
So, I'm looking to create a one-off VirtualBox host but I have 8gigs of memory on the box.  What this means is I'm stuck with the VBox extension for 32-bit and only have 4gigs of memory or go to Microcore64 and have no VirtualBox.

:sadface:

Any good suggestions on what to do from here?

KVM works fine in such a setup. 64-bit kernel and 32-bit userspace is a bit rare combo, but it's supported on Debian, and most stuff works. Notably virtualbox and nvidia/amd binary drivers don't.

One VM would still be restricted to max 4gb ram, but you can then run several in the total 8gb.
