Title: midori 0.3.5 - sometimes the cache is not displayed properly
Post by: netnomad on May 10, 2011, 03:00:10 PM
the actual midori 0.3.5 seems to have some problems with the cache.
when i follow a link backwards, sometimes last pages in the cache show artifacts, the last pages are corrupted.
then i have to reload them, otherwise these backward pages are not readable.
i never experienced this behaviour in midori 0.3.3....

midori 0.3.5 depends on a newer version of webkit which may be the cause of problems

what is the common process for such a mistake in a tce?
do the tiny core developers report the mistake to the develeper of that extension?

by the way, i discovered a further strange behaviour of the new webkit:
sometimes the scrollbar is missing, although the page is so long that it needs a scrollbar...
with ctlr-r everything is completely loaded again.

i went back to midori 0.3.3 with the last stable webkit and everything is just perfect again.
the actual software is too buggy!

If you don't get a response in a couple of days, you could send the extension maintainer a pm

thank you for your fast and kind reply.

there is also a further strange behaviour of 0.3.5 and webkit-gtk:
after closing midori, the cpu gets a heavy load over 100% for about 3-5 seconds and afterwards the cpu returns back to ~0%load.

Similar could be noticed with various browsers.

midori 0.3.5 requires newer versions of webkit and there are major changes between webkit 1.2.7 and 1.4.0 that's why i used a different name
if you find bugs with webkit-gtk you can report them to upstream
