Hi all,
Firstly, I just want to say that I'm loving Microcore :-) I've just run into a slight problem.
After installing XOrg, X starts automatically. I don't want it to.
What script is being run that starts X after boot?
I've tried edting the ~/.profile but after commenting the startx at the bottom, it's uncommented after reboot!
Thanks

You can add the boot option text to whatever boot loader that you are using.
Another option is to use the backup/restore feature. Since you have Xorg working then perform a backup upon exit.
Another option is to use persistent home.
Many options depend on how you chose to install microcore.

Thanks.
I used the tutorial at http://www.tinycorelinux.com/install.html to install.
I've added text to menu.lst and now it's all good.
But I still don't understand why my ~/.profile, etc files are being reverted to their original content each reboot?
Thanks again

Hi Sosukodo
Open the the /opt/filetool.lst and add the names of files that you would like to save between reboots.
Use the same format as is in the file, no leading / from the root.
Enter filetool.sh -b to backup those files before rebooting.
