Title: open a pdf with gsview?

installed gsview asking for info on how to open a pdf with it.

Are you saying that there's some kind of error when you try to use gsview?

If not, just click on the icon and then file/open (or similar).

yes Click File, Open, select a pdf, ok, and get error dialogs

Ah - in this case you need the ghostscript_common extension, which contains gs_init.ps
