Hello,
I'd like to test wiper.sh (from hdparm website, a tool to clean up unused blocks from SSDs), but it requires at least hdparm 9.25, current release is hdparm 9.37, the repository contains hdparm 9.15.
Thanks in advance,
SvOlli

Yes, an update would be nice. My Seagate HDD also gives me warnings when I set the spindown timer or try to get the temperature values.
hdparm's database is getting old... a new version would solve these problems.

I can not secure erase my SSD, as in https://ata.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/ATA_Secure_Erase
because I want to restore max speed on my SDD, by issuing a SATA secure erase command (busybox hdparam has not this command). And I find that even with the hdparm 9.36 I must recompile the kernel as a parameter such CONFIG_TASK_IO_CTRL is not activated...

I had missed this thread until today. I will update it tonight.
I won't intentionally ignore a post regarding an extension of mine, please send a PM if I don't reply in a day or so after posting. Or just send a PM, that would be the surest and quickest thing.

Updated, and including wiper.sh.

Current hdparm.tcz is version 9.37 the latest hdparm 9.39 is currently available.
Any chance of an update please?
Am compiling and updating my own copy but since other tcz's use hdparm as a dep might be wise to update the tcz to the latest version.
