Ok, core elements are gone in the repository, to my great joy, but mirrors.tcz disappeared from the web without reappearing in the repository.
I have a copy of that package, and then I can use yet, but I think he should live with xlibs and xprogs
P.s. is possible change the mirror in prompt line?
-
change /opt/tcemirror
-
I'm also confused about where mirrors.tcz has gone
-
thanks hiro, I think that the developers have something in mind for mirrors.tcz, the question in what ???
-
OK. It was part oversight and part ibiblio migration. When I first created this tiny data file extension everything was fine with ibiblio. When I wanted to release 3.5, ibiblio mirrors were not working. Therefore I did not post this extension at that time. It is now posted.

Thanks roberts; I could forward the request for a "tce-mirrors" that displays a list of mirrors in a terminal allowing you to choose the desired one (such as ab or Xsetup for instance)?
-
OK. Will do.

:)

Hmm, editing a text file isn't that difficult, is it?
-
I am an imperfect person, sometimes I could be sarcastic but I try to restrain myself.
edit a text file is really simple, but if you open that file you note that there is only one mirror and not entire list commented by #
-
accepted.
The reason I asked is my reluctance to having multiple ways of doing the same thing.
-
Basically for me would be fine even commenting on a list (if it were to become so in the future, appbrowser overwrites the entire file with a single mirror at each change).
But I think a multiple choice is more near to the style of the distro.
On balance the button at the appbrowser is a multiple ways of doing the same thing.
-
Surely there is a way to improve a style. Other than that I again agree.
-
I'm glad that for every function there is a corresponding textual and graphical.

Done. Look for it starting with v3.6.
-
Great :D
-
Can we have it append ( or better yet ) prepend entries from a local list?
This would allow changing to a public mirror, and later changing back to a private mirror
without having to edit tcemirror.
Perhaps with /opt/localmirrors.
-
Good idea. Will do. Thanks!
-
Support for /opt/localmirrors in both command line and appbrowser GUI, done!
