I take it the built-in fltk file manager is not enough for your needs?

emelfm had very few dependencies

Thanks, will try both of these.

Having trouble with copying files with the Fluff. It was just getting to hard.

Cheers.

Hi: I use ROX filer. It is nice and fast and relieable. Within the command line I run it via
$ sudo su
and
$ rox

as root and can easily naivigate to my files and if neccessary
I can make changes with leafpad.

Midnight Commander - I use this one also and like it.

@ b1ackmai1er: Sorry Fluff is not very suitable for you.  If you can tell me a little more about the trouble you had copying files?  You can send me a private message if you prefer.

Before Fluff, I used Rox for a while then mostly XFE.

Fluff is a great software and I'm happy that you have created, also for complete tinycore.
But there are a few reasons why I can not benefit from its use:
Not resizeable font, I have a short-sighted
Contestual menĂ¹ doesn't have "new file" and "new folder"
Moving file or folder is allowed only between the tree and the panel, but tree automatically unexpand the third branch when switchin position in a panel and displacing is impossible trough two folder of third level
On the other hand i use e17 that integrates bad file manager (EFM) and XFE crashing when I try to view the properties of a root directory and drive directory (/ and /mnt/sda1 for example), then i use fluff to support these deficiencies.
 ;)

In Fluff, if you right-click on an existing folder, one of the options which appears is "Create Directory".

I agree that the defaut font on Fluff is a bit small--at least on a netbook screen. As to copying files, did you try "copy" (ctrl-c) and "paste" (ctrl-v). It is much easier than drag-and-drop. I'm starting to like Fluff so much that I got rid of emelfm--but I still use mc for some things.

Sorry this is a bit off-topic for the OP.  I'm considering making the font size configurable in some future version of Fluff. I don't know if that wil automatically resize the toolbar buttons and whatnot... I need to see how much it impacts the code size.  Gotta keep it light, you know. ;)
