Hi I am trying to install compiletc.tcz from the apps extensions but when it gets to ppl.tcz (dependancy ?) it reports status as "downloading" and then reports "error on ppl.tcz" in the status bar.
This is my first ever post and fear getting it wrong or putting it in the wrong place so I thought it safest to ask here first.
a) What am I doing wrong
b) Where should this post have gone.
Thanks in advance

It might not be that you are doing something wrong, as there were issues with the main extension repository (i.e. ibiblio.org). They might be still ongoing, but I'm not sure since I have my own private mirror for the stuff I'm interested in.
To get a better idea about the type of error messages I'd suggest you run tce-load -wi compiletc in a shell. This might reveal some more details and is exactly what gets executed "in the backend" when you attempted the installation via 'appbrowser'.

I have this problem as well. loading 'compiletc.tcz' fails with 'ppl.tcz'. On installing ppl from a terminal, md5sum warns that "1 of 1 computed checsums did NOT match"

Right, I can confirm that the 'ppl.tcz' in the 3.x ibiblio.org repository does not match it's checksum file. I've furthermore come to the conclusion that the file in question (http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/tinycorelinux/3.x/tcz/ppl.tcz) is actually the one from the 2.x repository.
I guess this is a result of the recent problems with ibiblio.org and should be easy to fix.

Corrected. Thanks for reporting.

Hi again,
In the install of compiletc.tcz I can now report the dowload passes for ppl.tcz but soon after fails similarly on cloog.tcz. Is this a similar fixable repository problem or something else.
Thanks again for your time and patience,
Roger

YEP, same issue: the 'cloog.tcz' in the 3.x repository on ibilio.org seems to be actually the file from the 2.x directory.
