TC3
Applied pending updates which included kmaps. Upon reboot the mapping for GB no ;onger works. The currency sign has reverted to the hash sign etc.

Keymap name? I don't see gb or en_gb in the list.
Short-term I'll copy it from before the update.
Then there's another kmaps update coming soon, someone on the Puppy forums wrote a 2-page essay about the lackings of kmaps.tcz, partially some easy-to-fix parts, partially expecting me to manually inspect every one of the ~155 keymaps. I'm treating that as a bug report and will do an update to fix every non-manual issue.
I'll just let it be known that I can only test with keyboards available to me (fi, de, us) and I count on the community to report if others do not work.

kmap=uk

Before I revert uk.kmap, is that your bootcode? The kmaps update 1.15.2 changed the structure because of some duplicates, ie the bootcode would now be "kmap=qwerty/uk".

I had seen that you were updating kmaps but had missed that the bootcode was also changed. Using the bootcode "kmap=qwerty/uk" does change the fault - but to an alternative fault. The British currency symbol is "shift-3". The new keymap produces "3". All other "shift-number" combinations produce the expected result.

Please update kmaps.tcz, the mentioned full update was done some hours ago. Is this still the case after the latest update?

Is this still the case after the latest update?
Latest update has been applied and the problem is now resolved when using the bootcode "kmap=qwerty/uk".
Many thanks for your help.
