W A Y V is the correct spelling :)
Allows simple mouse movements to send keystrokes to underlying programs.
Example: Anywhere in a window, hold down the right-button, draw a verticle line downward, (23mm/1inch is enough), now to the left, and release the right-button.
If you have drawn a backwards L, the window will Minimize.
FireFox FireGestures and OperaMouseGestures, are typical examples of browser add-ons. WAYV can be used with any desktop application.
Debian packages are available www.stressbunny.com/wayv.
Would appeal to any laptop user, struggling with the %&^* touchpad. ::)
