the aclocal files in the libtool-dev extension should be in the libtool extension. Or at least the libtool.m4 should be.

the debian package has just libtool.m4 - I'll make the change

Some packages require additional files.  For example, trousers needs files ltoptions.m4, ltsugar.m4, and ltversion.m4.  There is also mention of a lt~obsolete.m4 that a Russ Allbery mentioned in a different forum.
