The cycle-accurate NES emulator:
http://nestopia.sourceforge.net/
-
I have this on my todo list, along with some other emulators

Thanks for the heads up! I've tried some compiling, but I never get it right. Is there a list of up-coming TCE releases somewhere on the site?

Most extensions are maintained by those outside of the TC team so an upcoming or todo list has never been put together and probably won't be. There is a recently updated and added list here: http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/tinycorelinux/3.x/updates/ (http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/tinycorelinux/3.x/updates/)
Right now I have 13 extensions on my need to update list and over 30 on my todo list. I'm sure others have comparable or even larger lists making it difficult to track, unless they are given some access to edit (perhaps in the wiki) and then they would actually have to maintain the list for it to be worth anything. At this point it seems to be too much trouble for little gain. If TC had dozens of developers on its team it would make more sense, but TC is still pretty new and small.

I hate to bother more about this extension, but it looks like Xorg-7.5 is not really needed for the application to run. Nestopia runs fine without restarting the X-server and runs smoothly under the default server. Of course, I could be wrong and lost in newbie naivete.

It may not require Xorg to be running but it does depend on libraries in the Xorg-7.5 extension.

OpenGL? The other libs are in Xorg-7.5-lib.
