Title: Xorg 7.4 and 7.5

Xorg 7.4 without kms works with my intel 945 card, but only with 1024x768.
If I connect my other display (1920x1080) I get strange effects, artifacts, noise, the picture from the 1024 area repeated next to it.

Xorg 7.5 with kms works with high resolustions and multiple displays, but switching to vt freezes the whole fb. So I have to reboot and can't use s2ram with this.

Try to boot with nomodeset option.

I did, you must have misread that.

Xorg 7.5 with intel requires KMS
Xorg 7.4 with KMS doesn't work.

I had to use nomodeset=1 with Xorg 7.4, which I tried to imply by saying "without KMS"
