Using links in text mode in microcore requires using the links-cli.tcz extension.  Unless you want to also boot with the Xlibs.gz and perhaps the Xprogs.gz initrd images to satisfy the library dependencies to use the main links extension in text mode.

This might be worthwile even if you plan to never ever use an X server, but would like to have a graphics mode (framebuffer) browser nevertheless.  ;)
