Title: Opening Window State of Apps Started via ~/.X.d

For the TC supported window managers is it possible to force the opening window state of an application started via ~/.X.d?  I am currently using FLWM and JWM.

Window states I would like to control on opening are:
Maximized
Minimized
Windowed

Is this already available and I have simply missed it?
