Title: Diagram of Tiny Core File Architecture

I'm preparing to possibly do a Tiny Core presentation at a conference.  I've created a diagram that shows the file architecture of Tiny Core because I think this is one of the hardest things to understand when getting started with Tiny Core.   The diagram is attached to this message (you must be logged in to the forum to download/see attachments).

Edit:  Updated to list /home instead of /home/tc for the mydata.tgz file (as suggested by roberts)
Edit:  Updated to list USB as well (as suggested by bmarkus)

It can be an USB stick also. INMHO most of the users are running TC from USB.

This picture for those do not know how TC works it doesn't help too much even if it is correct. I would show a sequence of pictrures how system boots up and initialzed instead of static final status. Also it would make easier to add verbal comments referring to different installation options.

Hi,

It would be great if these kind of pictures could be added either to the Wiki or maybe better: to the concepts page. Maybe some day I will then be able to understand all the different "modes of operation". Since I'm a visual learning type some nice diagrams are always much more helpful than all the current explanations.

The default in /opt/.filetool.lst is /home and not /home/tc this was recently changed to accommodate additional/alternate users.

 just wandering what was used to crate the diagram
(possibly dia ?)..

also
if the eg original.dia  file still exists  ,
is there any possibility it  could  be made available for download  ? 

.. my interest is in using to test out some ideas.

Yes, it was made with the dia application.   I have recently been working on updating the diagram.   I'm attaching the updated .dia file to this post.   This version is still being worked on and isn't final.   Please let me know if you have any suggestions to improve the diagram.

the only suggestions / request  would be
  to add links to the svg

eg , like the links in "GNU/Linux Distribution Timeline" (http://futurist.se/gldt/wp-content/uploads/11.08/gldt1108.svg) .svg  [suspicious] fyi this is how i found tinycore  [/suspicious]

according to Links within files and to external files (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116554)
its not possible to do currently with dia .

The png attached to your post may have a small typo. Towards the bottom right
/usr/local/bin/scren   should probably be
/usr/local/bin/screen

There is an updated diagram online at http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/architecture.html (http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/architecture.html)  and this typo has been fixed.

Website diagrams updated with updated kernel file name.   I also put some extra text in there about extensions being in /cde directory rather than /tce if running from CD.
