Hi i install rdesktop to connect the windows system. it installed correctly if i run rdesktop 192.168.1.5 is my lan windows system. it showing the error
 WARNING: rdp_out_unistr: iconv_open[ANSI_X3.4-1968 -> UTF-16LE] fail 0xffffffff

Please anyone help for solve this prob...... ??? :P ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Thanks for ur reply now that error solved but it saying
         "ERROR 192.168.1.5:enable to connect"
I cann`t connect to windows system. I want to know the rdesktop want to install in windows client. My concept is tinycore is server and windows as client. using rdestkop i want to connect client.. wat r the steps to follow..

rdesktop is only the client. There is no RDP server as a TC extension currently.

Yeah, there are several VNC servers as extensions. Pick one that suits best.

in my eyes you should use a X server like xing. The feature you request is build into X you just need a windows server. (dont let the client/server relation confuse you)

Pardon my confusion, but I take it that this user is trying to serve up his Tinycore desktop from a Windows computer?  If so, this is what works for me.

Install on the TC machine:

x0vncserver.tcz

To configure it, follow instructions found in the apps manager exactly.

On Windows machine, install something like TightVNC (either whole package or at least the viewer), or UltraVNC, both work fine for me.  Enter IP address of server, and enter the password that you configured on the TC box.
