I cannot get the tinycore to work right on the laptop. I know it does bootup on my Acer Aspire 5517 but I rather use it on the toshiba. So far on the toshiba it goes real fast like it is going to try but then at the end all I have got is a blank blue screen. Right now I have puppy installed on it, I would rather have tinycore! Hope someone can help.

You could try with the boot code "text" and then "xsetup.sh" to see what choices you are offered.

Thank you for your time and I did as said and got as far as picking the mouse selected 1 then tcObox came up with $ and I don't know what to do next?

type in `startx` after.
Or use the "xsetup" boot option instead.

Thank you I tried both and all suggestions and end up at the blank blue screen. I do notice that it says No apic or something.

The Xfbdev.tcz extension may help. Make sure to boot with "tinycore vga=791" (or similar number).

Thank you I tried every suggestion and appreciate the time but nothing has worked for me. ???

See the FAQ:
http://www.tinycorelinux.com/faq.html#xsetup
and also the section right below on how to use Framebuffer.

Thanks I will read and try to apply all of that BUT would it be possible to use the Tinycore on CD with a pc that is supported to download to the cd? The problem I have with that though is the DHCP that is seen by Tinycore does not connect to the internet? It does have a netcard config app if I knew the numbers to put in would that work? I have accidently turned off the DHCP light 2 times <never again I hope!> So if it would be possible then it would help tremendously. This was in the TC wiki * Turn on DHCP in the control panel
* Set Netcardconfig via the control panel (ath0, name servers if you have them, save config, exit) So if I do this then could I get online?
