Title: Can i burn my personalized tinycore to CD?
Post by: SixT7 on April 10, 2010, 03:33:50 PM
Hi,

I wanna create a tc cd, with all my extensions and the settings. Is there any way i can save all that on a bootable CD? And if yes, how?

The way I use for my newer laptop is below, there are also other types of remastering in the Programming and Scripting section.

That way allows the ejecting of the cd when loading is done.  It runs faster, boots slower, and uses more ram than simply placing a tce directory in the root of your iso image, which is the method described in the wiki, and would be how to do it for older machines.  Each way has it's advantages and both can use saved settings, but a tce directory placed in the root of the iso would require manually changing the tce directory path in /opt./tce_dir to /tmp/tce or another writable directory to be able to use the appbrowser after boot.

See http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php?board=36.0 (http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php?board=36.0) for scripts from various users that perform that function.  The ones that I use are mentioned in http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php?topic=4312.0 (http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php?topic=4312.0).
