I installed "meld" through the appbrowser, and I'm not sure how to invoke it now. There is a little comment at the end of the description about compiling it, but I don't know if I need to do this or how to do it. Aren't all tcz's compiled already?

don't u see a new icon in wbar and a new menu item in the flwm menĂ¹?
-
I am using XFCE and I don't see any menu icons, or terminal commands.

This extension doesn't provide a freedesktop.org menu item, therefore not added to the menu.
Try tc2freedesktop.tcz after meld.tcz installed.

tc2freedesktop has been installed for a while, so it's not that. What is the terminal command for meld, is it "meld"? I don't have anything resemlbling that...

Did you run it? Just tried, it creates a meld menu entry in LXDE, so it must work in Xfce4 too.

Well that's embarrassing, it worked... I followed the instructions and made it so that tc2freedesktop loads at startup - am I supposed to run it after every app I install?

tc2freedesktop can convert a WBAR menu to freedesktop.org only if it exists when executed. If you install an extension manually when Xfce4/LXDE is already running, you must rerun tc2freedesktop. It is not a daemon.

Ah I see, thanks for the info. Perhaps that should be included in it's description.
