I guess we all know the extension request thread http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php?topic=349.0 is getting kind of long, and it's hard to tell which requests have been met, or have someone working on them ...
I suggest a "TCE Requests & Development" area under "Tiny Core Extensions" ... but perhaps this topic is buried somewhere in the existing thread.
Any other ideas for how to help clarify the extension requests thread?

Good idea.
Might be useful to split it into "Requests" and "Development"; and whenever a request is filled, mod the title to show that, such as putting [DONE] at the start. This would enable searching the thread to see if a particular app has been previously requested.
-
+1 for dedicated area for requests. Much more manageable for people who might want to create extensions than cramming them all into the one thread.

some way to parse and aggregate the requests and the number of requests...
like a weekly shortlist and vote.
..could even use google wave

I agree. An extension development area would be good to keep requests for different extensions seperated along with their verification of development status (ie someone is working on it, it has already been done, etc)

+1 for a development section. And perhaps some guidelines as far as a new thread for every package, and keeping the status listed in the topic for easy identification.

Have current status stuff and latest downloads etc listed in the opening post.

Just a thought.
You could start a new one and include 2010 in the name.
Put a message on the old one saying, use the new one.
