This application is called parole. It would be good to keep the original name given by its author and used widely instead of renaming to something else, especially if it is compiled from the upstream vendor's source without modifications.
-
i added xfce4 prefix so people can understand it is for xfce
if changing the original name breaks some license rules change the name to parole plz
i was thinking of making it available with the name parole for everyone because
parole can also run with libxfcegui4 and libxfce4util installed on base or lxde
but i changed my mind instead i will make totem media player of gnome when i have time

I agree with preserving upstream application names on extensions, the exception being those few that have more than one upstream source in the package - like Xlibs_support, base-dev, compiletc, and etc. I didn't see this extension as being badly misnamed since the original name was part of the extension name. Obviously, if it were named something like xfce4-media-player when the upstream name was parole then it would have been rejected until renamed. Though xfce4-parole was a name I didn't see a big problem with, my preference is to preserve upstream names as close as possible.
The exception to total preservation of upstream names would be conforming to the almost standard use in the repo of lowercase letters and dash seperation.

no problem for me you can rename it to parole just don't forget renaming tce.installed script too
