Title: extensions on cdrom
Post by: dougtheslug on January 14, 2009, 06:14:11 PM
Can extensions some how be added to the CD ROM where the ISO was burned  and once tiny core has  booted : have it load the extensions  from the CD ROM?
I would appreciate any answer or suggestions
thanks in advance .

Yes, it can be done (if your device is detected).  It should work like a hard drive partition, where you place extensions in .../tce for autoloading.  The tce/ directory on the CD should be found automatically unless another was found first (or overridden manually).

If you meant copying the contents of extension(s) to make a remastered tinycore.gz, they won't be seen as 'extensions' anymore but as part of the base.

I thought I could have the base separate from the extensions when making a remaster

Then you do not have to remaster the initrd - just remake the .iso file (my first post in this thread applies to this)
