Title: fire fox on startup

hi i am a complete newbie for tiny core but this is what i want to do

how can i make fire fox load on boot
how can i make it so i dont have to install stuff every time i boot
and how can i change the wallpaper other than change the colour

basically i want to play around and make a small kinda chrome os but for fire fox. ive been wanting to do i for ages but now ive found tiny core i feel i have the right starting block

Install it on the hard drive or a usb drive. I suggest you use persistent home and opt. Install programs using the Appbrowser.

Put a suitable jpg file in /opt/backgrounds
select it using the control panel

All you need to do is add a boot option, for example.

tce=hda2

Where hda2 is a partition on a hard drive.
Then when you use appbrowser, the extensioins will be stored there under a directrory named "tce" and be loaded upon next boot. Also your backup of home will be saved in same directory and named "mydata.tgz"

I would only recommend other forms of persistence after you get a feel for how Tiny Core works and only if you really need such!

bootlocal.sh will not work.  An appropriate file could be ~/.xsession

This won't work. X needs to be started before firefox, so it would need to go in the .xsession script in $HOME (/home/tc). .xession would have to be backed up in order for it to persist.

There are many ways to do this, the easiest is the way roberts suggested which would require the use of a hard drive or other storage device. You could also do a remaster, there are some instructions in the wiki.

First you have to install on Hard disk, then you can install the fire fox. check the following URL for install on HDD.
