Title: 2.6: request for 'screen=WxHxD' boot option
Post by: frimical on November 28, 2009, 12:00:37 PM
hello,

I was wondering if we can have a '-screen=WxHxD' boot option ?(where W=width H=height D=depth of screen, that could be used in'xsession' of  course )

This can be very helpul to boot directly to the right screen resolution, speeding up booting by minimizing dialogs and selection progs. Very helpful when  we switch computers and start pristine;

NOTE:
By  using 'xsetup' as boot option,  the list of resolutions available  are mixed with all the other boot messages appearing   on screen; not so clear  neither elegant;

thanx,
