Title: Mobile, DataCable and Internet access
Post by: Pats on November 24, 2009, 12:31:14 PM
My ArcMicroChip based Sony-Erricson Data Cable was recognized in TCL.
 modprobe usbserial vendor=0xnnnn product=0xnnnn

dmesg show proper ttyUSB01 port recognized etc etc.
But since there is neither wvdial / or ppp modem tool, then how to connect to internet using the SonyErrison mobile and data cable ?

Any clues from members ?
Thanks !

~ Pats

Note: My Mobie and Datacable is working properly in RH, Fedora, Debian etc - with kernel v > 2.6.x.x.x !

Did you try searching for PPP in the repo?

Maybe you should try installing ppp_setup.tcz?
