Is there any chance that one of the experts involved in this project can create a version of Fbreader for Tiny Core?

I'd love to be able to use Fbreader (or rotate text 90 degrees in Opera) so that I could make more comfortable use of my Eee 900 as an ebook reader. But I don't really want to bulk up my installation with xorg and Firefox to do so.

I'd very much like to see it.  I've test-driven a few small netbook-friendly linuxen and I think only Puppy had an ebook reader.

Yes. I've gotten it to work on Puppy, and it works on Xandros (not a small system). I sure wish it--or any way to rotate html could work on Tiny Core without resorting to xorg.

I have a binary fbreader working on Xvesa, and I am building another one as we speak.  Either way, fbreader will be an extension that does not require xorg.

-
Build finished and tested.  Will upload after it's new dependency.

Excellent! I can't wait! Thanks, Jason.

Putting on the finishing touches now.

Found it in the depository and am using it now, thanks!  Rotates and everything.

Figuring out how to keep the max/hide/close window buttons on the screen now;  on these small Eee screens it is common to end up with WM buttons in unreachable positions.  (It's a function of the software, not the extension.)

-
Which window manager are you using?  A different one may help.

Whatever came with 2.6. [away for a bit]

Appears to be flwm.  I installed jwm and rebooted;   now I can get a handle on the app and resize it.  Thanks for the tip.
