Hi,
I am using Xvesa and i am also using wide screen monitor. i found out that the resolution listing happens dynamic i.e it checks the supported resolutions of the hardware and then it lists it down(if i am not wrong).
I use AMD Geode hardware and it supports 1440x900 and 1680x1050 wide screen display, but i cant see that in the menu . menu doesnt show any of the wide screen resolutions. . i tried forcing it myself in .xsession. but it falls back to previous resolution. Can someone help me in this of how i can go about making the wide screen work in this hardware

If your machine uses intel graphics hardware you might be able to use the 915resolution extension with Xvesa.
If your machine does not use intel graphics hardware, you will need to use the Xorg-7.4 extension to get the resolutions you need.
