This is only my second day with TC so I may be missing something but after installing TC2.5 I couldn't find a calculator app nor any gui based file search tool in the repository of tcz-based apps.
Do any exist?
Thanks

mbasecalc.tcz is a calculator.
I am not on TC at the moment, but that one should show up in the search function of the appbrowser.

Hi Jason,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes I have now installed mbasecalc.tcz
I had a look in the archives and see that there is a galculator.tce which I guess won't run in TC2.5 but is there any plan to make tcz files of what was previously available in tce?
I think galculator is a worthy candidate as is any file search tool, such as searchmonkey, which I am desparate for so I can find my way around TC.
Thanks again

Try...gtkfind.tczl....from the repository to search for files...etc

That's a nice quick app. New to me.
Thanks for that.

I'm testing a galculator tcz right now.

I found emelfm and beaver apps very easy to use when first learning TC
If using emelfm remember to press little H buttons near top (displays hidden files)
and suggest you use configure button in emelfm to make a new EDIT button....
with command ..sudo beaver %f.....that way you can open and edit files very easily

Does that mean you will be submitting this shortly in which case that's very good news about gcalculator. Thank you.

It's not that I needed a file manager or editor as I have xfe and leafpad already. Although I agree that beaver and emelfm are nice apps.
It's that I needed to be able to search for files to see the structure of TC. Luckily gtkfind seems to do an excellent job.
Thanks for your help anyway.

Exist a calculator similar to tabbycalc for windows?
It's all done from the keyboard and the expression is always modifiable
