Title: Persistant USB
Post by: johns420 on October 28, 2009, 09:33:10 AM
I found that I was in the wrong location for my previous post, http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php?topic=3600.0 .

I would like to open my question up a little bit with a given scenario though.

I want to create a flash drive, that I can take to any computer, and it will mount all of the drives on the system as a read only drive.  I do not need a GUI, just a command prompt is fine, I don't need any extra bells and whistles, not even network support.  The final part is I need to have anything I change on my flash drive be persistent and keep any changes I make to it.

Any ideas?  I am looking for any possible solutions to meet my requirements.

Not all systems will boot a USB drive.
Other than that, what problem are you having?

You have to create a bootable pen plus a minicd with restore point to that pen (marked with a label or uuid).

All pc with usb boot/cd may run tiny.

Alternatively you could also create a boot floppy
