Title: Questions and answers: Distributions for older hardware
Post by: bmarkus on October 26, 2009, 10:03:17 AM
Distrowatch just published an article about LINUX distros for older hardware:

http://distrowatch.com/weekly.php?issue=20091026#qa (http://distrowatch.com/weekly.php?issue=20091026#qa)

Author lists only three distributions, SLAX, Puppy and DSL. Interesting enough, TC is not only list even if TC is ranked 14. at Distrowatch (last week was 16.). Also, while I love SALX in ceratin sense, I do not consider it as a candidate for old low specs hardware.

Interesting, as the Tiny Core page on their site lists us in their category for "Old Computers"

However, we are not a turnkey desktop, the others are.

Ranking is based on hits; just open the Tiny Core description.
