For some reason I need Xlibs_support to boot into jwm, or it loads flwm with lots of extensions not loaded.
Add back Xlibs_support, and eveything boots up correctly.
Without Xlibs, I can load eveything once in X (including jwmwm), no problem.
(it's not libXss or libXv)
Edit: ah......it's listed as a jwm-snapshot dep; maybe should be listed for jwm.tcz as well
note: It's not needed if you load a group that includes jwm from base option.

needs libXss and libXv as well.. needs the whole package; this doesn't appear to be a jwm dep issue, since a lot of other extensions don't get loaded as well.

I am not following this at all. For example:
boot base norestore - "install" jwm.tcz - "exit to prompt" - startx = jwm
boot base norestore - "mount" jwm.tcz - "exit to prompt" - startx = jwm
No other dependencies loaded.

No problem installing/mounting jwm after boot without Xlibs.
Normal booting of the tce
directory fails to load jwm and a lot of other extensions unless Xlibs_support extension is included. For example, without Xlibs I get flwm and only Mplayer in my applications menu. With Xlibs, I get jwmwm and about 7 programs listed in my apps menu. I'm at another computer at the moment, but I don't recall that any of the extensions not loading had Xlibs_support as a dep, and all install fine after the boot.

Loading jwm.tcz from the tce directory with no other dependencides, I see no problem.(http://www.shingledecker.org/screenshot_1022221835.png)

edit: problem appears to occur with backup. I'll see if something needs updating.
no, that isn't it. I booted norestore with Xlibs_support still loaded.
booting norestore without Xlibs results in same problem.
Anyway, solution is trivial. Just load Xlibs_support* or better, load extension groups after booting with base option (faster, smaller)
( * I think Xlibs_support extension will be loaded up soon with all the Xorg libs )
