The Fourth Mode of Operation: PPI/TCE
Up to TC2.2 I have followed the installation instructions for this mode.
The modes and installation documents are unchanged, but the TC2.4 appbrowser has no TCEs.
If TC2.4 without TCEs is an improvement, lets have the new documentation to go with it.
And lets have the task bar back, preferably at the bottom of the screen!

In due time, documentation will catch up.
Microcore does not have X or any window manager, so the comment on task bar is meaningless.

The bar at the top of the screen in TC2.2 which has a tab for each app running.

For microcore choose icewm
Or
For tinycore choose icewm and use boot option noicons.
Or
Edit .jwmrc-tray to place it at bottom together with noicons boot option.
Or
Edit .jwmrc-tray to place at bottom and edit/create .wbar to place wbar to top or either side.
It's what core is all about.

Minor edit:
In the 'first mode' paragraph, there is a minor typo.
Change:
That is, the extension will download and using the Install buttoM the extensions will be installed into RAM.

That is, the extension will download and using the Install buttoN the extensions will be installed into RAM.
Best,

Using the second ior third method of operation,
Using the second or third method of operation,
Using the mount option extensions, which are squashfs compressed mountable images of an application directory, become symlinked into the root filesystem.
This might be a little confusing to some readers. Would it be clearer to punctuate it as follows?
"Using the mount option, extensions (which are squashfs compressed mountable images of an application directory) become symlinked into the root filesystem."
