Thanks to perthie for:
Title: hpijs-dynppds.tcz
Description: HPIJS CUPS Printer Drivers with Dynamic PPDs
Version: 3.9.4
Author: Hewlett-Packard
Original-site: hplipopensource.com
Copying-policy: GPLv2, MIT, BSD
Size: 512K
Extension_by: perthie
--------
Comments: This package contains printer drivers for many HP devices.
It does not install scanners, faxes or control panels. However, it
creates PPD configuration files dynamically, so you don't
need a large permanent store of PPD's.

This package contains printer drivers for many HP devices. It does
not install scanners, faxes or control panels. However, it creates
PPD configuration files dynamically to keep the package size small.

Title: hpijs-dynppds.tcz
Description: HPIJS CUPS Printer Drivers with Dynamic PPD Generation
Version: 3.9.4
Author: Hewlett-Packard
Original-site: hplipopensource.com
Copying-policy: GPLv2, MIT, BSD
Size: 396K
Extension_by: perthie
Comments: Requires foomatic-rip.tcz, libgs.tczl
This extension only works with CUPS 1.3.11. It is designed for
HP owners who just want a basic printer driver and do not need the
full HPLIP multi-function package. Be aware that some of the printers
listed in HPIJS actually require CUPS 1.4 and HPLIP. Check out:
http://www.openprinting.org/printer_list.cgi?make=HP
Change-log: 2009/10/07 - first version
2009/10/12 - added foomatic-rip as a dep when it became its own extension
Current: 2009/10/15 - added libgs as a dep when it became its own extension

With all the changes to CUPS printing lately, some clarification might be helpful.
If you have an HP multi-function machine, use cups.tczl (CUPS 1.4x) and hplip.tczl
If you have an HP unit but just need a basic printer driver, use cups1311.tczl and
hpijs-dynppds.tcz
If you have a non-HP printer, use cups1311.tczl and gutenprint.tczl
If your HP printer is listed in Gutenprint and you don't need scanner support, try it instead of HPIJS. The driver is faster.
