Title: unable to connect by ethernet
Post by: andreamariquelli on September 03, 2009, 03:36:08 AM
Hi folks.
I really love the idea of tiny core linux, for my asus eee 701 is really perfect.
The tiny core boots smoothly from my USB.
I have some problems to boot the apps, probably for the reasons that
the internet is not connected, I have tried with the right window and it correctly
point out my ethernet connection, then it asks me to apply, I click but nothing happens. ???

thanks a lot
andrea

you should have dhcp on at boot (control in cpanel that the switch DHCP is green; if not, press the button); then in aterm, type: dhcpd in order to get an ip; if it does not work, please post the result of ifconfig; there is also a thread in TCB tips and tricks section of the forum in order to connect the eeepc 701 per wifi.

Now I would like to ask you how can I know the address of my usb pen
to save the packages ( I am running tclinux from external usb pen)

look in /mnt.
My guess would be 'sda1'.
