Title: Gimp missing dependencies.

Hi!

Since I work with photos a lot I tried Gimp. The first error was that libappstream.so.5 was missing. I loaded appstream but then I got another error message that BABL 0.1.118 or later was needed. I think BABL 0.1.112 is the one in the repo. So it needs an update.

Which version of piCore64 are you using?

Have you checked for updates using the apps gui?

The piCore64-16 version is more recent than the piCore64-17 version.

their .tcz.dep files are different.

Hello again!

Naturally I am using piCore64 17 beta 2 to try to be of assistance. I did a fresh install today and I couldn't download anything from the GUI with any kind of success. I got back to the prompt and could install the programs I wanted (firefox for example). Then I moved to the GUI again and now I could install some packages. Very strange really. But now when I have arranged programs in 'onboot' and 'ondemand' it works just fine with the exception of Gimp. Trying to start Gimp a window saying that BABL version 01.118 or higher is needed and that BABL version 0.1.112 is available comes up. Thanks for the good work you are doing for the benefit of the TC community.

Hello again!

Just wanted to mention that Gimp works without problems in piCore64  v. 16 and has done so since I first installed it. So the problem occurs in piCore64 v. 17 beta 2.

It looks like gimp and some deps were updated in the aarch64 16.x repo, but not in the 17.x repo. The error was then compounded by updating gimp in both repos, but not the deps.

Things should be OK now.
