Title: My compaq presario 7970 doesn’t boot at all with and without a gui (via cd)

Hello I would like to notify of an issue with my pc it boots for a little bit then gives me (entry_offset: 0x00b072d0) (I am on the newest version of tiny core Linux and kernel panics and powers off the system after that no drive activity just stops there in like 1 second into the booting process) kernel 6.18 I think?

Welcome to the forum.

Try booting an older version, like TC10 and see if
it behaves any better.

I will try I don’t have any cd’s right now but will try soon as I will have some soon

I am dreaming about floppy disk where I can boot ipxe and load TC 1-17 from the internet.
Default ipxe with all network drivers have about 300 KB. If we put only one network driver it can have less than 300 KB.

Hm, it sounds like a "good" goal for the user, but ... it will kill the golden goose (TinyCore), because if everyone/many will systematically/daily boot from INTER-net (instead of local/private intra-net) the servers will soon crash. Maybe few will be mercifully and load from mirrors, who knows.
TC has a small team+resources, so please do not abuse them, let them live and serve us well.
