Title: input/output error when mounting a cifs vers=1.0 network drive in TC16
Post by: yacc1 on April 19, 2025, 10:10:34 AM
Hello to all,
Since I've upgraded to TC 16, I'm unable to read a cifs vers=1.0 network drive. I get a "input/output" error. Mounting seems OK.
I've downgraded to TC 15 and the reading is OK.
Is there any restriction with old network disks in TC 16? Or is it a bug?
Thank you for any help

The kernel still has version 1 support, but cifs gets patched all the time.  There are nearly 40 patches since the TC16 kernel was built.  There is nothing obvious in the patches that would point to your problem.

Anyway you can move to SMB2 or SMB3
