Title: Coreplus iso for X86_64
Post by: TheMightyMisanthrope on August 15, 2024, 02:38:55 PM
Hello!

First of all, thanks for this great distro, it's perfect.

I would love to run an electron AppImage from the PXE terminal server, but, electron no longer supports 32 bits and for the life of me i've been unable to find the Coreplus X64 iso.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi TheMightyMisanthrope
Welcome to the forum.

There is no x86_64 version of CorePlus, only CorePure64 (command line)
and TinyCorePure64 (GUI).

If you need wireless extensions for your hardware and have a Linux
installation that can connect to the internet, there is a script you
can use to fetch the extensions you want.

The basic description how to use it is in this first post:

Thanks so much for your kind Answer Rich!

¿is this something i could help with or is it part of the design?

i can't for the life of me get the 64 bit version to boot to the desktop. Xvesa package is missing, and i'm still learning how to build one and try and upload it to the repo.

Thanks again!

Hi TheMightyMisanthrope
You won't find Xvesa in 64 bit. It uses BIOS calls that are
not available in 64 bit.

It's either Xorg or Xfbdev.
