Title: Some questions
Post by: zacmario on June 23, 2024, 04:06:02 PM
Hello all,
I plan installing tiny core on to either a pentium 3 or 4 , haven't decided yet. I recall at some point some support for some hardware being dropped.
I'm also hoping for a persistent home and the few tcz I want installed to stay installed.

Tinycore still aims to work on i486.

There are a few packages that won’t build for i486, it usually says so in the info file.

Installing Tiny Core on a Pentium 3 or 4 sounds like a neat project! From what I've seen, older hardware like that can handle Tiny Core quite well, though you might want to check compatibility for specific hardware support.
