Please bear with me. I hardly know anything about Linux. I want this particular distro of Linux because the Disk on Module I am using is only 256MB and I do not want to boot off a USB stick.
I can boot into the GUI fine and install the TC-install extension fine. I can use that extension to complete the install. The problem is that when it's done there is no GUI when I boot from the DOM - just a command line.
How can I install this and also have a GUI?

Hi geiger9
Welcome to the forum.
When you did the install, did you select Core and X/GUI Desktop
when you got to step 5 shown here:
http://tinycorelinux.net/install.html#5_
If the answer is yes, does entering this at the command line:
startx
bring up the GUI?

Hi Rich. From what I understand, that option is only available if you are installing using the Core Plus CD. I am using the TinyCore ISO image.

Hi geiger9
You said:

The tc-install extension is command line based. Installing
tc-install-GUI adds a graphical front end to tc-install so
it will look like the tutorial found here:

Sorry for the confusion - I did install the GUI Installer extension. That process went through fine and when I reboot the machine without the USB drive inserted, it loads TinyCore but just a command line. Is there a way I can tell this extension to install the X/GUI desktop?

Hi geiger9
Try it with the CorePlus CD. It is Tinycore plus additional drivers.

Hi geiger9
When you get to step "4. Bootcodes" , enter:
waitusb=5

Thank you so much for helping me with this. It worked with the TinyCore Plus :)
