Hi, Juanito. I see you are the maintainer of libpcap.tcz for TCL x86_64. Would it be possible to update this extension, please?
I'm trying out a wireshark-like application (sniffnet) on my TCL box and it only seems to work with more recent versions of libpcap.
-
It’ll be a week or so before I can take a look.
-
In that case, may I be your delegate and update the extension myself?
-
Sure, but it won't get uploaded much before a week from now...
-
libpcap.tcz, libpcap-dev.tcz, and sniffnet.tcz submitted for TCL14 x86_64. No rush at all in uploading. Thanks!

was kicking the virtual weeds on the interwebz and stumbled on sniffnet and saw it mentions you can install it from the official Tiny Core Linux repository.
https://github.com/GyulyVGC/sniffnet/wiki/Alternative-installation-methods
and so naturally:
grabbed usb thumbdrive with tcl16.1(tinycorepure64)
booted up in the closest machine(lenovo y580)
downloaded and loaded sniffnet via app browser
and a "sudo -E sniffnet" fails with various complaints
for sniffnet, the app browser information doesn't give gtk3 as a dependency but the github seems to...
https://github.com/GyulyVGC/sniffnet/wiki/Required-dependencies
so a quick tce-load -wi gtk3.tcz and now there are less complaints
my assumption is that updating/upgrading/etc the necessary *.tcz/etc will allow the installation procedure related at the above github url to achieve complete success
fyi, yes i know i have failed to give all the gory details(honestly this was all the energy i could afford to expend)
(profuse apologies in advance of any fire/flames/smoke/etc)

Hi gadget42. Thanks for reporting this.
Hi Juanito and Rich. Can one of you please add gtk3.tcz to sniffnet.tcz.dep in the x86_64 repo?
-
Hi GNUser
Done. :)

Hi Rich. Thank you :)
