There is no font installed!

I don't know exactly what to download.

You could try the cantarel, dejavu or unifont extensions with the gnome font viewer extension to see if they contain what you are looking for.

Can you also tell the community on what program doesn't the char appear.

Terminal ?
Console ?
On some another xwindow program ?

dejavu fonts display the turkish lira symbol in firefox
