Title: [Solved] error when I poweroff/reboot with BackUp flag on.
Post by: puppybyte! on March 05, 2022, 05:48:38 PM
When I try to poweroff or reboot with the flag of backup at the time, I get an error, "tar: removing leading '/' from member names" as shown.

what is causing the problem and how to resolve the issue?

Hi puppybyte!
Check you  /opt/.filetool.lst  file. The entries should not have  /  as the first character.

Hi puppybyte!
There is also a GUI version of the backup tool. If you click on the ControlPanel icon and then click the Backup/Restore
button, the GUI version of filetool will be displayed.

Click the  Include for Backup  tab to see what you are currently backing up.
You can remove an item by selecting it and clicking the  Delete Item  button.
When you select an item, the  Add  button is greyed out. To unselect it, click the  Clear Item  button.
The box to the right of the  Add  button lets you select whether you want to add a file or directory to your backup.
To run a backup, change  Dry Run  to  Backup  in the top right corner and click  Go.
