Title: FLWM at boot?
Post by: kiwi on April 15, 2021, 11:52:41 AM
Hi, I loaded piCore 13.0.3 on a 256MB microSD card for my Rpi Zero but was unable to load into the desktop environment. Am I missing an extension?

Thank you.

I found this http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,24221.msg153184.html#msg153184 which I should have checked too before posting. My PiZero doesn't have networking (non-Wireless). Is it possible to load the .tcz files to the image so they can be loaded locally rather than from the network? If so, which directory?

Edit: I am not sure if the extensions are already on the image, or whether they are loaded from cmd or from network.

Thanks!

Copy those extensions, their dep files and their dependencies to /mnt/mmcblk0p2/tce/optional

i got a write error but i think it may have been because i only had a 16MB partition (the sd card is 256MB)

so i followed this to get 173MB: https://iotbytes.wordpress.com/picore-tiny-core-linux-on-raspberry-pi/

Kiwi check out my guide @ --> http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,24974.0.html. Also, check out --> https://iotbytes.wordpress.com/picore-tiny-core-linux-on-raspberry-pi/ ( Will help you understand how to size your SD card ). Btw, get at least a 16GB SD card. They are super cheap on Amazon.
