Post by: arnold on July 22, 2009, 08:48:44 AM
hi,

please excuse my english!

I want use a standard v56 modem to dial. I have "pppd" and p"ppsetup" loaded, configured without problems. The modem is onnected on COM1 (ttyS0) but no dialing.
Checking with "lsmod" tells me, that no serial-IO and modem-driver are loaded.
Can anybody help me ???

Hi,

It is a external modem, a full modem, not a winmodem !
Connected on COM1, ttyS0. But the ttyS0 will not be dedected by Tinycore.
DSL and Puppy reports that serial-I/O is loaded.

Here is some info on how to set up a modem.

/dial.html][removed due to policy violation]/dial.html (http://[removed due to policy violation)

I hope this helps.
