Hello forum,
Would anybody be interested in making a extension of "non DAW" a Digital Audio Workstation.
Thanks
V
It runs on almost No hardware. "Raspberry Pi zero" would be no problem.
https://non.tuxfamily.org/
There are full suites of free ARM VST compiled plug ins for it.
https://calf-studio-gear.org/ (there are many other ARM plug in suites also)
-
Can you clarify which architecture you are requesting this for?
-
Yes, it would be a compile for ARM pi-core mostly.
But it would be very good on both x32 and x64 (x86)
That "Non Daw" daw allows VST plugins and full ecosystems to run even
on a pi-zero. Things like VST soft synths as listed below. (arm compiled)
i found some more important powerful tools below for Raspberry Pi DAW work.
(it would be amazing if the tools below could also be compiled for tinycore ARM pi-core
and x86)
The links below are running the tools under the standard Raspbian OS on pi.

There are already several very high level free DAWS for the Raspberry pi.
0) "Non Daw" Daw on ARM for pi ( pi zero board)
supports VST's and ecosystems (LV2, DSSI, LADSPA)
1) "Waveform Free" Daw for pi (by tracktion) on ARM (pi 3 or 4 board)
2) "Ardour for pi" Daw (pi 3 or 4)
3) "Reaper for pi" Daw on ARM (pi 3 or 4)

Hi vinceASPECT
Juanito ask you a simple question:
Can you clarify which architecture you are requesting this for?
In less than 2 words, name the 1 architecture you are requesting this for.

Armv6 (pi zero)
It does not matter if you do not want to compile it. I have been looking
at distro's that already have it packaged. Multimedia distros' on Deb Arm.
I just figured TCL may want very powerful software for say pi zero's on Arm.
thx

Juanito,
Lord, that is fast for such a task.
i suppose it is in the pi-core repo.
Like i say, it does not matter if you don't compile it on all platforms, i just figured it may
be the type of software that's powerful and desirable for TCL.... (with very low hardware requirements)
It comprises four elements.
1) non-timeline (formerly know as "non-daw") NT
2) non-mixer NM
3) non-sequencer NS
4) non-session-manager NSM

In the vids above, they used NSM and NM together with other linux tools
such as "Carla" plug in's host........to form a collaborative "Digital Audio Workstation" environment.
While i appreciate that LMMS does support VST and other ecosystems...... it does not have
the very low hardware requirements of the NM suite (on ARMv6)
many thx indeed.

Non DAW
I second this.

It’s already posted in the piCore repos.

Hello,
i don't know if "non sequencer" was missing from the x86 group of compilations?
1) non timeline
2) non session manager
3) non mixer
4) "non sequencer"
thx V

As per: http://tinycorelinux.net/11.x/armv6/tcz/non-daw.tcz.list
/usr/local/bin/non-sequencer

ok thx juanto......x86 is what i first tried recently
