Title: How can I make my OSS settings persist?
Post by: samedirection on July 17, 2009, 11:30:46 AM
I'm running OSS.tcz from the 2.0 repo.  My settings from ossxmix (or the right click menu) do register immediately.  But I can't for the life of me figure out what file they are put in, so that I can get it to persist.  None of the .config files seem to be changed after I change my settings.  Anyone know how to make OSS settings persist?

OK, I think I see the problem.  Could it be that when you run the present tcz version of OSS, the settings can't be saved across boots, since they lie in /usr/lib/oss/etc, which is symlinked from the loop file (and not therefore not savable)?

Or can I actually just add those files to my .filetool.lst?  (goes to try)

You can put symlinked files, from tcz extensions as well, to your backup and they will overwrite the extension files. At least I remember it was that way, do check before counting on this :P
